The Wind And The Tree

What should I compare my walk with the Lord to?
I can be the mighty tree, with branches that reach the ever-blue,
The tree stands firm and sturdy, even with a bark full of opened wounds,
Yet, it can survive through the days, the months, and the many moons,
My roots, which are my beliefs in the Lord, will stand on solid ground,
And compared to the lifeless trees beside me, my tree will be well-found,
My tree will be so full of life, it will attract the eyes of plenty,
So they might inspect what makes this tree so different, unlike so many.

And what should the Lord be?
Why, the wind that so gently breezes past my tree,
You can't see this gentle wind, yet you can feel its presence,
You couldn't see it glide through the branches with the tree's absence,
But without the wind, the tree you see, would be very lost,
Because there would be nothing guiding its branches at all costs,
The wind guides the branches towards the direction it should head,
But sometimes the tree gets impatient, and chooses its own direction instead,
Well, the wind will get fiercer and shake the tree until it makes itself known,
That way the tree would know the wind is still there and its never alone,
The tree, knowing the wind is there, will stand up tall,
And will face all sorts of destruction, and know it will never fall,
And if you don't have this wind and you're a Weeping Willow,
Well just know the wind is waiting to be your main fellow.
This is a poem I wrote while looking and watching a tree gently sway at the breeze. I felt like God touched my heart to write this, so i hope you guys like this!
